The 1.76 inches of rain that was received a week ago, was once again followed by dry and warm weather. The rain provided enough moisture for a brief recovery in grass and plants. However, due to the lack of rainfall in a week, grass has once again returned to its previous brown state. This is true for grass that receives full sun. Watering is necessary to keep annual plants alive and perennial plants are showing stress. There are 1/4 to 1 inch cracks in the soil.
