Even with cooler temperatures and light precipitation later in the week, conditions remain on the dry side. The trees are well beyond peak color and strong winds have much reduced the number of leaves still clinging to their branches. Lawns still retain some green but now longer need mowing. Overnight lows through several days remained in the 60s range. Then overnight Friday and into Saturday saw a hard frost with temperatures dipping to 28 degrees. Stream flows remain low and soils are somewhat dry. Total rainfall this week was 0.08%.
