Even with a half inch of rain this past week, conditions are still very dry.  Soaking rains have started overnight and are expected to last through Tuesday of this week.  If the forecasted 2" to 3" of rain occurs, that should help with the soil moisture and hopefully the drought conditions.  Most farmers have finished their harvest and some have begun post-harvest ground tillage and lime spread.  The Green, Rock and Mississippi Rivers are still very low.  Hopefully next report will be mildly dry and some run-off of rain will raise the river levels a bit.
