It’s been more than three weeks since the last truly significant rainfall (.0.5”) and it shows. Dirt roads and trails are dusty. Grass is browning. Some plants indicate loss of turgidity in their leaves. Wildlife activity appears normal, but pond level is down several inches (in part due to cranberry irrigation). Will hold the Mildly Dry designation for this week, having seen drier a few summers ago, but am really hoping the ten-day progs’ indication of decent rainfall holds. We need it.
