Temperatures often well into the 90s through the week with poor overnight recoveries and no measurable rain since last Sunday have increased our drying conditions. Lawns are not as green as last week and some unwatered areas are starting to tan. High humidities have moderated but no halted drying. Painterville Creek through Warren Dunes State Park is low and slow. Most corn was at least waist high by the 4th of July. The weather and holiday weekend generated heavy outdoor recreation activity. Air conditioner use has put a high demand on electrical production. The 0.79 inches of rain dumped overnight last Sunday is the last measurable precipitation that we've had for the week.
