General: Still mildly dry. We actually have reached our July 4-year average on moisture (expected = .39", received = .45") thanks to a healthy rain this week. Soil moisture is measured at 35% at 3". Our 4 year average for moisture at this point in the water year is 19.14", and we're at 18.81, so not horribly dry.
Agriculture: The rain this week was quite welcome, and has made the crops happy. The wheat is heading out, and the mustard is beautiful.
Energy: Well into high production, while still low in consumption. We generated 94.97 kWHR yesterday through solar panels, and only used 24.18 kWHR. We haven't really had to use air conditioning yet because we've weatherized the house deeply.
Fire: Risk dropped thanks to the rain. It made 4th of July a lot safer up here.
Plants/wildlife: A few more insects, but still pretty puny compared to our expectation. We should see many more moths, yellow jackets, bees, but not so. We have a few hummingbirds that visit the feeder (we're feeding in the hopes of supporting struggling pollinators). Overall, a frighteningly quiet spring and now summer.
Water: Optimistic at this point, as we're close to normal
