Station Number: IA-WR-5
Station Name: Hartford 1.0 E
Report Date: 7/6/2025
Submitted: 7/06/2025 8:36 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Despite the nearly 2.4 inches of rain Saturday, still holding it near normal. We can stand more rain. Yesterday's rainfall set a new record exceeding 1.99 set in 2014, if I lived at the Des Moines airport. This was the most rain since 7-31-2024. Otherwise, deep summer plant growth continues as temperatures averaged three degrees above normal. Max heat index reached 107F. Rivers and streams are flowing well, with in-bank rises so far. Crops looked fabulous traveling Hiway 30 to near Cedar Rapids yesterday. Iowa is indeed a beautiful state. Picking red raspberries with tomatoes getting closer.
