Grass is yellowing in spots. Ground is hard & dry. Unwatered plants have wilted or died. Rainfall measured in the past two weeks is around one-third of an inch, less than 20% of normal. If forecasted rain materializes the conditions may improve. If little or none occurs, conditions will be moderately dry by next week and could be the start of a flash drought.
