Was a sunny but cool day yesterday with no precipitation or overnight (yay).----Ground cover with snow is 90-95% --- Snowpack Depths in both locations shrank a bit but more snow melted topside than 40-50' above the shoreline----At 2-3" one can walk on it without sinking in. Hard crust on top. Some spots you can't even drive a yardstick through it---10 point measurements at 2 catch locations----TOPSIDE CATCH #1: 3.25, 2.25, 1.00, 1.50, 2.0, 1.75, 1.00, 3.25, 3.75, 3.00= 22.75 or 2.27 rounded up to 2.3 SWE= .50-----RIVER CATCH #2: 3.75, 3.00, 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 2.75, 3.25, 2.5, 2.75, 4= 30.25 or 3.02 SWE= .66-----Average Snowpack depth from both locations = 2.66"-----Average Snow/Water Equivalent = .58----- Average is used for Snowpack and SWE---- Currently a clear sky, Calm, and 28 degrees---SNOWFALL SO FAR---OCT-0", NOV-5", DEC-11.25", JAN-9.5", FEB-12" MAR-22.25" for a total of 60.00" as of 3/27/25 a.m.-----So ready for simply rain ;) |
