Notes: We are currently experiencing a prolonged hail storm--longest I have ever seen in Teton County during past 29 years of residence. Two miles south of Jackson in Rafter J. NO rain preceded, nor is any accompanying hail--coming down like a snow storm. Skies 90% cloud covered (open in southwest. Huge cumulus cloud covers virtually allof the remainder of sky. Sun shining in the west but no apparent rainbows. Has begun to ease, may be turning to rain. Took a dozen photos, including individual frames for a 360-degree view. Am NWS spotter, but could not report due to site being down. After 12-15 minutes, appears to be turning to snow of the same size.
