A strong thunderstorm rapidly developed around noon with very dark clouds, thunder and lightning, and very heavy rain observed. Other spotters and the public reported hail in Cicero during this time as well ranging from pea size to 3/4 inch penny size. Local television media posted viewer-submitted photos of small hail covering the ground completely just up the road from my registered location. This storm produced no damage. |
