Notes: Damage to garden plants. One 3" sized ball fell that broke open when it hit the patio. It was 8 layers of ice, looked like tree rings. Mostly clear then some was white thinner rings alternating. It was the largest that I saw in my viewing area. A flew of the stones were fused smaller stones. Those were all white. Can see dents in my carport and the metal roof on my shop. No wind with the hail or rain. If the hail had been wind driven, I would expect there would have been more damage. I took pictures but I don't see where to attach. Knocked down some hay waiting to get cut this week. Hopefully it stands back up. Was very hot and muggy right before hail then rapily dropped 10'. It either hailed or rained. I didn't see the two falling at the same time. The light rain only continued a few minutes after the hail went through. The sky was full of the grape looking clouds, mammalious (spelling?) I have never seen the whole sky full of these clouds. Was beautiful. Large hail reported by storm spotters 8 miles south of me. No rotations or funnels reported. Some straight line wind damage to roofs in Calvin, Ok.
